#3. Carrier, Success Story.

MS Dhoni may be known as successful cricketer today but he had play a lot of badminton and football in his childhood and by that time he probably never thought much of cricket.

Talking about football, he was so good in this sport that he got an opportunity to play football at the district and club level at a young age.

He had never played cricket before, yet he impressed everyone with his wicket keeping which made him become the regular wicketkeeper of the cricket club. Due to his good performance in the cricket club, he was selected for the Vinoo Mankad Trophy Under 16 Championship during 1999.

Where he performed brilliantly, Dhoni was a big fan of Sachin Tendulkar and Adam Gilchrist. He used to have long hair in his early days because he loved Bollywood actor John Abraham and wanted to look like him.

Like John, Dhoni also mourns riding a bike at a high speed. Even today whenever Dhoni gets time, he goes out for a walk with his favorite bike. Till class 10th he played cricket in a simple way because by that time he had to concentrate on sports as well as studies.

But in the meantime, he gave entrance exam for TT in railway and got selected in it. After that, Dhoni worked at Khadakpur railway station from 2001 to 2007.

Dhoni remained a part of the Ranji Trophy along with a job in the Railways. Gradually his madness towards cricket increased so much that he thought of becoming his career completely in cricket.

There is a team that works to find the best talent from the small towns and "Prakash Poddar" from the same team got an eye on Dhoni's amazing game and he selected Dhoni to play at national level.

In 2008 India won the T20 World Cups. If the Indian team has got any good captain after Kapil Dev, it was Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

On 30 December 2014, he had decided to retire from Test cricket, after which he left the day's and 20's capitals on 7 January 2014. But he said that he will continue to play as a wicketkeeper batsman.
